Description

A leading multi physician, multi location IVF Program seeks highly-motivated, organized and detail-oriented individual to join our Patient Services team as a Patient Account Representative.

Applicants must have excellent interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, staff, and physicians; capable of multi-tasking and working in a fast-paced environment; strong computer skills required. Compassion is key to be a part of a dynamic team treating infertility patients. The position is 24 – 32 hours per week.

Patient Account Representative responsibilities will include:

- Patient Benefit Verification, Patient Billing and Collections
- Assessing patient needs, answering general questions and scheduling appropriate types of appointments
- Maintaining patient satisfaction through coordination between patients and Physicians and other team members within the practice
- Sending out informational packets to help educate patients on treatment
- Maintaining patient information and charts/records
- Providing Front Desk/ Reception support for the practice, and other patient services related tasks
- Work alternating weekends (days) as business requirements and conditions dictate.
- Address patients/referring physician offices in a professional and friendly manner, using SUPERIOR customer service techniques.
- Handle telephone calls in a professional and friendly manner with patients, physicians’ offices, and all other parties calling the facility.
- Provide, assist or specialize with appointment scheduling functions.
- Make patient appointment confirmation calls including notification of any patient owed fees. May provide procedure preparation information to the patient.
- Perform patient eligibility check with insurance companies.
- Obtain procedure authorizations/precertifications from insurance companies.
- Gather and/or assist patients with registration information including processing patient paperwork as required. Insure accurate data entry into the information system. Data can include demographic, billing data and patient payment information.
- Follow company collection and cash control policies by informing patients of their financial obligations and collecting payment at time of service and controlling cash.
- Adhere to company dress and appearance requirements.
Qualifications:

- 1 to 2 years medical office experience REQUIRED, Women’s Health/ Infertility a plus
- Familiarity/Knowledge of HIPAA
- Excellent telephone communication skills
- Computer Skills
