This girl is all class- a real lady. Sweet and patient as we pull out tangles, Promise lives up to her name, She promises to you'll love her classy mannerism. She is currently being ridden english, and seems to have experience in that discipline (hunter under saddle) but she's so easygoing she would likely be fine western as well. We're trail riding her right now and arena riding, there's not much this sweet gal won't do. Promise has been diagnosed with Melanoma (you can see the lump in her photo to the right). This is not unusual for a gray mare but very disappointing since she has made such a wonderful turnaround. Dr. Bob says horses with Melanoma can live a regular active life for a long time. She was so tired and listless when she came to us, her muscles sagged with atrophy and malnutrition, though she wasn't as pointedly gaunt as some incoming horses- she seemed to have lost her will do do much. But today she is so much better, always comes to the fence for love and attention (she cares more about people than food- rare!). Nothing seems to get her upset, she's just an easygoing gal! She's current on feet, shots, worming, etc- like all our rescues! THIS HORSE'S ADOPTION FEE- JUST $350 FOR THE MONTH OF SEPTEMBER ALL ADOPTION FEES ARE REDUCED FOR OUR "SADDLE UP IN SEPTEMBER" EVENT.
