Design, make or repair beautifu hand made pendants, bracelets, rings, and necklaces using your imaginative powers.
Ring sizing, chain repair, diamond, stone setting and prong repair will be covered in a ten week course beginning Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2009 at 6:30 PM, Magnusson Park, 6310 NE 74th St., Seattle, WA 98115.
This course will be taught by Martin Rosenblum, a jeweler with over 35 years of experience at the bench. He will professionally demonstrate safe and efficient methods of torch control, use of a cope to pour molten precious metal, plus using the roller and draw plate to make wire and sheet from scratch.
Piercing, repousee, soldering and cold connections will also be practiced, with ample time devoted to each student working at their own pace. This class will be limited to 15 students max.
Fee: $200.00 plus materials and tools. Students are expected to purchase their own hand tools to execute jewelry making projects. This includes a jewelers saw and blades, pliers, mandrels, tweezers and eye loupe.
