Calico - Medium - Adult - Female - Cat - Baby
Description
Baby is looking for her new forever home...her previous home was no longer a good fit for her. Here is what her previous mom has to say about Baby: Baby is 9 years old & I've had her since she was a kitten. She's been indoors only, so 9 is still pretty young since indoor cats can live till 20 or so. She's a long-haired female (spayed) Calico, she's very healthy and in the right home with lots of attention I know she will thrive and make a wonderful companion. She's a bit shy at first and needs to have a hiding spot for safety (behind our bed is her favorite spot). If you decide to take Baby she will probably hide for a couple days and then come out to explore. Dont worry she will come out eventually. Once she warms up to her new home she will be very sweet, but she can also be a bit spunky and feisty. Shell let you know when she wants to be pet and adored and when shes done. She's micro-chipped, has had all her shots and is currently covered by VPI pet insurance which is around $21 a month if you chose to transfer the policy. I can transfer the VPI policy to your name if you want. Since she has zero pre-existing conditions, it might be a good idea. Her perfect situation would be a quiet, calm home with no other animals or small children. She is scared of kids and she will hide. She is also timid around men and will probably hide as well. Her ideal home would be with a single female or married couple who has time and love for her. She's very low maintenance, but I know she would love more attention than she currently gets. She may or may not do well with other cats. It all depends on the personality of the other cat. But I do know that she will NOT do well with dogs unless they are old, don't bark, and ignore her completely. The only problem I ever had with Baby is that she likes to run around at night. We have a small home, so this was pretty disruptive at night. However, Baby has been at my mothers house for a while now and has stopped this behavior. If she decides to pick this habit back up when shes in your home, putting her in a room where you cant hear her at night is a perfect solution. Shes also long-haired and grooms herself constantly, so be prepared for hairballs. They do happen a couple times a month. If she does not adapt well to your home, please let me know. My mother has offered to take her back if need be and I would much rather find her a new home than have her end up in a shelter. Please let me know if you or someone you know can give Baby a new home.
